I confess...  I start school tomorrow and I'm scared.

• I have my bulletin boards covered with bright paper and looking pretty.
• Papers and study packets copied, collated and waiting to be distributed.
• Seating charts are prepared for my 9th and 11th graders.

I'm learning to take the good with the bad smells when it comes to home owning. Once the mothball scent faded away, my basement had that faint septic odor. This past weekend I discovered why that is.

My first sewage emergency, erupted, and flooded my once-finished basement.

The age of your neighbor is proportional to the degree of annoyance.

Example: The little boy with the cute dog is very sweet, I like talking to him.
                  The elderly ladies on either side of me are cranky and have poor driving skills.

Best thing about becoming a homeowner (in exactly 8-days) is daydreaming about stylizing and decorating my sweet townhouse.

I have been inspired by my Great-Grandmother's bedroom set that I have inherited. It looks similar to this, but imagine beautiful wood inlay on the fronts of all the drawers and round handles. I do not have the 4-drawer tall ( Read more... )

I took an extended holiday and came home this morning, rather than fight the rush of 95 traffic yesterday afternoon.

I am so very, very  exhausted.

It can be quite difficult to be the host of your own Masters of the Universe party while being fabulous at the same time.

I've been very busy as of late, and this makes me happy. Still trying not to think about missing my beloved ER reruns on TNT during 2nd and 3rd Blocks and I continue to wish for that elusive snow day when my alarm goes off at 5AM every morning.
